It's been a dream of mine to see a mural through from start to finish, and recently I've gotten the opportunity. There wasn't a whole lot of meaning or purpose in this mural beyond the fact that we had an empty wall in the dining room. 

Paint the Town is a traveling event that brings in local artists to design a mural that the community then paints. Other activities at these events include "Colorblast", a clothing dye throwing area, and a "Freestyle" painting wall where everyone brings or purchases paints to freely create large scale art. 

I learned quickly that there's not a high demand for bright wall paint colors because I could only find one brand that carried the range I was looking for. I spent a whole morning before work trying to match the colors on this sheet above and I was pretty successful! I ordered the paint the same day.
